Public Participation in Online Giving

A questionnaire and case-based study of the factors shaping donation intention and sustainable participation in online public-welfare platforms.

Context

Online platforms lower the barrier to charitable participation while raising questions about trust, continued engagement, and information transparency. The project examines what shapes donation intention and how platforms can support more durable participation.

My contribution

I contributed to case discovery and writing, questionnaire research, and analysis. The work connected platform practices with participation data to support the research framework and conclusions.

Approach

Literature and case analysis informed the variables. Questionnaire data captured attitudes and behavior, and multiple linear regression examined the main influencing factors. The project also considered platform trust, participation experience, and sustainable communication.

Practical value

The study provides evidence for improving information disclosure, feedback, and user communication on public-welfare platforms. Because the questionnaire reflects a specific sample, generalization to other platforms or populations requires attention to sample structure.
